Bonnie Landau Weed - Fine Artist
Bonnie has been creating since early childhood. Crafts, sewing and 'making things' has been her mode of emotional healing. When life gets challenging, she yearns to 'create.' Throughout her 20-year career as a graphic designer she has experienced hundreds of moments when creative ideas have appeared in her mind, whole and finished before she gave a thought.
About 15 years ago she began to see a pattern in this divine information. She would often have to create ad designs on the fly (in less than a couple hours), and when the publication came out, several other ads had a similar theme. She began to speculate that creators access the same universal creative energy during the creative process, which is why trends occur in the world of design. This concept of accessing a universal energy shifted her idea of where creativity came from. Through strengthening of her spiritual practice, she saw greater creativity flowing through her.
When she began painting in 2006, this idea was truly put to the test. With almost no prior painting experience, she relied on Spirit to guide her in the painting process. She suddenly began to create art that others asked to buy. During her painting process she 'heard' instructions, and she followed what was said. She began to realize that a chorus of beings was painting with her, but she was the vehicle to manifest the painting into reality. She applied this spiritual process to her graphic design work, and began creating digital art in addition to her paintings.
Bonnie has a bachelor of architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a masters of spiritual psychology from University of Santa Monica. She lives in Ojai, California with her husband, Steve, and their two boys, Gabriel and Jeremy.
